Sergio Ricardo Fiori

Adjunct professor at the Department of Geography at the Interdisciplinary Institute of the Rural University of Rio de Janeiro since 2014. In 2018 he joined the Postgraduate Program in Geography (PPGGEO) at the same institution. Bachelor, master and doctor in Geography from the University of São Paulo. Between 2011 and 2012 he worked as editor of geography and cartography for Editora Oxford University Press / Brasil. For years he was part of the Academy of Travel and Tourism (AVT) as an academic advisor, which together with the Teaching and Teaching Material Laboratory (LEMADI) of the USP Department of Geography, conducts courses and develops teaching materials for teachers and students fundamental, medium and professionalizing. Between 2006 and 2009 he was part of the Caminhos do Futuro project, a partnership between the Ministry of Tourism, Institute of Professional Academies (IAP), AVT and the Tourism Center of the University of São Paulo. In this project, the researcher gave numerous lectures, workshops, maps and teaching materials related to Cartography, Education and Tourism in 15 Brazilian states and the Federal District. In 2007 he developed a collection of tourist maps for São Paulo Turismo (SPTuris) that is available to the public until today (see website: http://www.sp-turismo.com/sao-paulo/mapas-turisticos.htm) ; in addition, he has two personal sites where some of his works can be viewed (http://srfiori.wix.com/sergiofiori; http://sergiofiori.carbonmade.com/).
