Wanderson Jose Lambert

He holds a Bachelor's degree (1999) and a Master's degree (2002) in Mathematics from Universidade Estadual de Campinas, and a Ph.D. (2006) from the Instituto Nacional de Matemática Pura e Aplicada (IMPA), with a focus on Partial Differential Equations. He completed two postdoctoral fellowships at IMPA under the supervision of Dan Marchesin (2007 and 2008), focusing on fluxes in porous media and analytical methods for complex systems. In 2009, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Brown University, supervised by Constantine Dafermos, one of the leading experts in hyperbolic equations and conservation laws. During this period, he deepened his studies in wave dynamics, shock formation, and the theoretical and numerical analysis of conservation systems, exploring fundamental issues related to stability, existence, and uniqueness of solutions in nonlinear contexts. From 2020 to 2021, he was a visiting professor at Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP), supervising PhD students and collaborating on research projects in Partial Differential Equations and numerical methods applied to fluid dynamics and other complex physical systems. Currently, he is an Associate Professor IV at Universidade Federal de Alfenas, focusing on fluxes in porous media, balance systems, hyperbolic-elliptic equations, and numerical analysis. He has also served as a co-advisor on projects at Universidade Estadual de Campinas, collaborating in the training of new researchers. His research has significantly contributed to the study of nonlocal solutions and numerical modeling of complex phenomena, advancing knowledge in key areas of applied and theoretical mathematics.
