Full Professor in the Institut of Chemistry at the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT). Holds a degree in Chemistry from the State University of Londrina (1993), a Master's in Analytical Chemistry (1997), and a Ph.D. in Chemistry (Physical Chemistry) from the Federal University of São Carlos (2001), with a sandwhich period at Universitat Jaume I in Spain in 2000. Completed postdoctoral work at the São Carlos Institute of Chemistry - USP. Experienced in the field of materials chemistry with an emphasis on the synthesis of functional nanomaterials. At UFMT, contributed to the creation of the Electrochemistry and New Materials Group (GENMAT), of which he is the leader in the DGP/CNPq. Chaired the committee to redesign the Bachelors in Chemistry with technological attributions at UFMT, which he coordinated from 2016 to 2019, when it was recognized as the top course in the country (https://cfq.org.br/noticia/ranking-dos-melhores-cursos-de-quimica-federais-dominam-lista-dos-melhores/). Served as a full advisor for the Regional Chemistry Council - CRQ-XVI and as General and Technical Coordinator of the Analytical Fuel Center from 2009 to 2023, the only UFMT laboratory with a Laboratory Management System in accordance with ABNT NBR ISO/IEC 17025. Leads the implementation of MT-NanoAgro Network - Mato Grosso Research, Development, and Innovation Network in Nanotechnology for Agriculture (www.redemtnanoagro.com.br), focusing on technological innovation based on sustainable inputs for agriculture. Acted as rapporteur for the Sectorial Thematic Chamber on Science, Innovation, and Technology in Sustainability for Agriculture (CITS-Agro) at the Legislative Assembly of Mato Grosso.
