Graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Campinas - UNICAMP (1989), MSc in Mechanical Engineering from UNICAMP (1991), Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from UNICAMP (1996). He is currently a Full Professor at Unicamp. From December 1990 to December 2001, he worked in the company Clark Ltda., that became in Brazil Eaton Ltda. He has experience in Mechanical Engineering, with emphasis on the identification, control, and optimization of mechanical systems, vibrations and nonlinear problems. He was Associate Coordinator of the Mechanical Engineering Course (2003-2007), International Relations Advisor at the University (2007-2010), Chief of the Department of Computational Mechanics (2010-2011), Coordinator of the Graduation Course of Automation Control Engineering (2011 -2013), International Relations Coordinator of the university (2012-2013), Associate Director of the School of Mechanical Engineering (2014-2018), and Director of the School of Mechanical Engineering (2018-2022).
