Eduardo Gomes Goncalves

Graduate at Bacharelado em Ciências Biológicas from Universidade de Brasília (1994), graduate at Licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas from Universidade de Brasília (1995), master's at Botany from Universidade de Brasília (1997) and PhD at Botany from Universidade de São Paulo (2002). He was the first receptor of "The Monroe R. Birdsey 2002 Memorial Award - For outstanding contributions in collecting, research and taxonomy of the family Araceae.", offered by the International Aroid Society. Has experience in Botany, focusing on Vegetal Taxonomy, acting on the following subjects: Araceae, Phylogeny, Caladieae, Xanthosoma and cpDNA. He was botanical curator and landscaper at the Inhotim Botanic Garden (2009-2011) professor at Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) (2011-2012), professor at Universidade Católica de Brasília (2003-2008 and 2012-2015) and professor at Universidade Católica Dom Bosco (2016-2018) , also holding the position of advisor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
