Alexandre Souto Martinez

Alexandre Souto Martinez completed his Bachelor's (86) and Master's (88) degrees in Physics at the São Carlos Institute of Physics (IFSC) at the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil.Obtained the Diplôme des Etudes Approfondies'' (DEA) (90) and Doctorate (93) from Joseph Fourier University (Grenoble I), France.He did a Post-Doctorate (94-96) at the University of Geneva, Switzerland and at the National Institute for Space Research (INPE) (96-98) in São José dos Campos, Brazil.Since 98 he has been a professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of Ribeirão Preto (FFCLRP) at the University of São Paulo (USP).In 2005, he became Associate Professor and in 2013 Associate Professor 3.Supervised 6 postdoctoral researchers, supervised 14 doctoral students and 14 master's students.He is currently supervising 2 PhD students.He was Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Physics Applied to Medicine and Biology (FAMB) (06-08), Head of the Department of Physics and Mathematics (08-10) and President of the International Relations Committee of the FFCLRP (12-13) .He was a full member of the BIO Area Commission: Biological Physics of the Brazilian Physics Society (SBF) (19-23)From 2013 to 2021, he was Director of the Information Technology Center on the USP campus in Ribeirão Preto.Since 2019, he has been part of the editorial board of the journal Mathematical and Computation Applications.It has more than 100 published articles, more than 1850 citations by scientific articles, more than 60 citations by patents, h = 20 and more than 145 article reviews.
