Daniel Bertoli Gonçalves

Professor and Researcher in the Graduate Programs in Technological and Environmental Processes and in Education at the University of Sorocaba - UNISO. Coordinator of the Research Group in Education and Policies of Science, Technology, and Innovation at the University of Sorocaba, and Member of the Observatory for the Development of the Metropolitan Region of Sorocaba, and the Observatory for Innovation in the Metropolitan Region of Sorocaba, in partnership with UFSCar. In the institutional sphere, he held prominent positions in various regional councils, such as the Municipal Council of Science, Technology, and Innovation of Sorocaba, where he served as vice-president until 2023. Agricultural Engineer from the Federal University of São Carlos (1998), with a master's degree in Economic Development from the State University of Campinas (2001), a doctorate in Production Engineering from the Federal University of São Carlos (2005), with a post-doctorate at the Department of Science and Technology Policy at Unicamp (2009). He has had teaching experience in various undergraduate and graduate courses at institutions such as the São Paulo State University, Federal University of São Carlos, Sorocaba Engineering College, as well as consultancy roles in some companies. Currently, he has been working on topics such as innovation, technologies aimed at improving production processes, with an emphasis on sustainability, and on the analysis and formulation of Policies for Science, Technology, Innovation, Education, and Regional Development.
