Fernando KOZU (1974). PhD in Sound Creation (UFPR/2024), graduated in Music from the State University of Londrina (UEL/1999), specialist in History and Philosophy of Science (UEL/2000) and master in Communication and Semiotics (PUC-SP/2003), with a dissertation on complexity in the compositional thought of Brian Ferneyhough. He was coordinator of the 1st. and 2nd. Paraná Meeting of Musical Composition (EPCOM-2010/2012). In 2010 and 2012 he was awarded the Funarte Prize for Classical Composition, from the XIX and XX Bienal de Música Brasileira Contemporânea (Rio de Janeiro) and in 2021 he was selected in the XXIV Bienal. In 2011 he was a finalist for the 1st. National Musical Composition Competition CCTG/OSP/UFPR, of the I Bienal Música Hoje (Curitiba/PR), with work for symphony orchestra. In 2019 he founded the G.E.L Group. (Free Experimental Guitars) and in 2021 he participated in the international congress The 21st Century Guitar Conference: UNCONVENTIONAL APPROACHES TO PERFORMANCE, COMPOSITION AND RESEARCH, at Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
