Sérgio Faloni de Andrade

He holds a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from the University of Alfenas (1998), master's at Pharmacology from Sao Paulo State University (2001) and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of São Paulo (USP) (2005) (Brazil). He undertook postdoc at Lund University-Sweden (2017-2018), where he developed project on probiotics associated to the natural products and its beneficial effects on the gastrointestinal tract under Professor Bengt Jeppsson supervision. He is currently Professor in University of Vale do Itajaí acting in the Pot-Graduate Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences. He has experience in the area of teaching and research, with emphasis on Pharmacological Evaluation in vivo of Natural products and Probiotic Products, with interest in the following areas: gastritis, antiulcer activity, gastroprotection, gastric healing, intestinal inflammatory diseases and effects on the renal and cardiovascular.
