Emilene Zitkus de Andrade

My research interest lies firmly in the area of industrial design, mainly to understand and support the practice and the design education to deal with the most pressing changes of the society, such as ageing populations and independent living. My doctoral research explored the subject of inclusive design proposing ways to enable user-centred principles to be applied in design practice and in turn enabling the production of more sustainable products and services.
