Bachelor of Science in physics from University of São Paulo-USP (1965), Master of Science in Space Science from National Space Research Institute-INPE (1968), Master of Science in Physics and Astronomy from The University of Iowa-UI (USA, 1971), Doctorate in Space Science from National Space Research Institute-INPE (1980) and Post-Doctorate in Geophysics from Bundesanstalt für Geowissenschaften und Rohstoffe-BGR (Germany, 1982-1984). Researcher of National Space Research Institute-INPE (1966-1996) working in the area of Space and Atmospheric Sciences, where also taught courses in the Graduate School on Space Geophysics and participated in the Higher Administration. Full Professor at the Department of Mathematics and Physics of the University of Taubaté-UNITAU. (1995-2012), where taught several courses in mathematics and physics at the Architecture School, Engineering School (Aeronautics, Environment, Civil, Computational, Electric, Mechanics) and at Licenciateship School (Mathematics and Physics). Visiting Researcher at the Centre d`Études Nucléaires de Saclay (France, 1978 and 1980)); Visiting Professor at the Department of Physics of University of Alberta (Canadá, 2000-2001). Acted at the following graduate courses: Space Geophysics (INPE) and Environment Sciences (UNITAU). Secretary-General of the Regional Centre for Education on Space Science and Technology in Latin America and Caribe-CRECTEALC (Afilliated to the United Nations). Presently, participate In research studies in the area of geosciences and also act as adviser to Capacity Building Committee/Group on Earth Observation of GEO. Research interest: Nuclear Physics, Nuclear Astronomy, Education, Energy, Natural and Induced Disasters, Geophysics, Mathematics and Environmental Sciences and Space and Atmospheric Sciences.
