Roberto da Trindade Faria Júnior completed his Masters and Doctorate in Physics at the State University of Campinas in 1995 and 1999, respectively, and his doctoral research was carried out at Ruhr Universitaet - Bochum, Germany, where he remained for 3 years. He is currently an associate professor at the State University of Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro. He has published 49 articles in indexed journals, 2 patents, 12 book chapters and 67 works in event proceedings. He has supervised 4 doctorates, 4 master's dissertations and co-supervised 2 master's theses, in addition to having supervised 7 scientific initiation works and 7 course conclusion works in the areas of Physics and Civil Engineering. Orientations in progress: 1 postdoctoral supervision and 1 scientific initiation PIBIC 10. Received 3 awards and/or honors. Coordinates 1 extension project consisting of 1 professor, 1 technician and 7 scholarship holders. Participates in 10 research projects, and coordinates 4 of them. He works in the field of Physics, with an emphasis on Photothermal Phenomena, Material and Plasma Characterization. In his professional activities, he interacted with 104 collaborators in co-authorship of scientific papers.
