Isabela Porto Cavalcante

Bachelor degree in Physics from Universidade de São Paulo (1991), Master's in Physics from Universidade de São Paulo (1994) and Ph.D. in Physics from Universidade de São Paulo (1999). She is professor at Physics Institute of Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul. She has experience in Physics, focusing on Physics of Elementary Particles and Fields, acting on the following subjects: chiral symmetry, unitarization methods, chiral perturbation theory, pion-pion scattering and efective lagrangians. Also focus on Condensed Matter Physics, including 2-channel Anderson model, crystallography (X-ray and synchrotron radiation absorption and diffraction, Rietveld method), biocrystallography, advanced materials, fuel cell interconnectors, and high Tc superconductors. Also acts in Science Diffusion and Science Popularization, coordinating several actions in the University, and being part of the team who implements the Science and Culture Center of Campo Grande, MS.
