Nilson Tadeu Mascia

graduate at Escola de Engenharia de São Carlos from Universidade de São Paulo (1981), master's at Engenharia Civil (Structural Engineering) from Universidade de São Paulo (1985) and Ph.D. at Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering) from Universidade de São Paulo (1991) and postdoctoral research from the State University of Wisconsin-Madison-Wi-USA (1998) , Forest Products Laboratory-Madison-Wi-USA (2015) and CNR (Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche)- Ivalsa (Istituto per Valorizzazione del Legno e delle Specie Arboree)-Florence-Italy (2015-2016). Currently is professor (MS-6) at Unicamp. Has experience in Civil Engineering, focusing on Structural Mechanics , acting on the following subjects: experimental analysis of structures, anisotropy, composite concrete-timber structures, steel timber composite structures, CLT (Cross laminated timber), wood structures. Is ad hoc consultant of Fapesp,CNPq, Fapemig,Faepex-Unicamp, referee of national and international journals. In 2012 received the Zeferino Vaz prize from Unicamp.In 2020, a patent was registered on wood sheets incorporated with nanosilica particles, with high strength and hardness, at the National Institute of Industrial Property.
