Birthplace: Brazil

He holds bachelor's and teaching degrees in Physics from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), obtained in 2003 and 2006, respectively. Alongside Professors Ana Augusta Mendonça de Oliveira and Fabiano Colauto, he was one of the pioneers of the direct PhD program in Physics funded by FAPESP (Grant 2004/00645-2) at UFSCars Department of Physics, completed in 2009. In 2025, he secured approval for the first direct PhD project funded by FAPESP in the Department of Physics and Chemistry at UNESP, Ilha Solteira campus. He held a FAPESP-funded postdoctoral fellowship in 2009 (Grant 09/10527-0). He joined UNESP as a faculty member in July 2010 and became Associate Professor in July 2018.From 2017 to 2020, he coordinated the Graduate Program in Materials Science (PPGCM), during which the program was rated 6 by CAPES. He also served as vice-coordinator from 2021 to 2025. Additionally, he has been a member of the Local Committee for Internationalization (CLI), the CCPG Advisory Committee for Graduate Program Monitoring (CAPG), and the Scientific Committee of UNESPs Research Provost Office. He conducts scientific research with international collaborators mainly from Germany, Spain, Colombia, Russia and Venezuela and has coordinated an International Research Network under the CAPES-PrInt program at UNESP. His scientific interests lie in the fields of Physics and Chemistry of Materials, with emphasis on superconductivity and alternative energy sources such as hydrogen-based technologies. His work focuses on vortex matter and dynamics, structured and granular superconductors, YBCO ceramic nanofibers, the new nickelate superconductors, and structuring techniques such as Solution Blow Spinning.Throughout his academic career, he has supervised more than fifty undergraduate students, over ten masters students, nearly ten doctoral candidates, and three postdoctoral researchers. On a personal note, he is the father of André Luiz Zadorosny, born in 2006 and currently living with his mother 450 km away, and of Tomás Costa Zadorosny, born in 2020, from his marriage to Francine Bettio Costa Zadorosny, a public servant at the local municipality.
