Alexander Gaiotto Miyoshi is Professor of Art History at the Art Institute at the Federal University of Uberlândia (IARTE UFU), Brazil, and the Collections Coordinator of the Sacred Art Museum of Uberlândia. He was also the Coordinator of the University Museum of Art at Uberlândia (MUnA) between 2013 and 2015. His research focuses on the visual arts and architecture from 19th to 21st centuries. PhD and a Master Degree in Art History at the Campinas State University (UNICAMP), Brazil. Architect and urbanist by USP, author of Arquitetura em suspensão: o edifício do Museu de Arte de São Paulo (Autores Associados, 2011), and contributor in Picturing the Americas (Yale University Press, 2015).
