Birthplace: Brazil

Undergraduated in Biology at Universidade Metodista de São Paulo (2000), Masters (2003) and Ph.D. (2008) degrees in Oceanography (biological oceanography) at Universidade de São Paulo (USP). I have experience in the area of oceanography, with emphasis on micropaleontology, working mainly in the following areas: benthic foraminifera and their relationships with environmental variables, environmental proxies in the marine environment, benthic shelf foraminifera of the Southwest Atlantic and from the Admiralty Bay (King George Island, Antarctica). At the beginig of 2009 I started my studies using molecular biology applied to Foraminifera at the Laboratory of Microorganisms Ecology at IOUSP coordinated by Dr. Vivian H. Pellizari. In 2016 he began a postdoctoral survey at the Federal University of Santa Catarina under the supervision of Dr. Carla Bonetti with downcores sampled in Pelotas Basin and last August 2018 with supervision of Dr. Alex C. Bastos of the Federal University of Espirito Santo, he has been working with downcore samples collected at the Abrolhos Reef Bank and samples from Rio Doce. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
