Rodrigo Pereira holds a bachelors (2001) and a masters (2004) degree in physics from the State University of Campinas. He received his PhD (2008) from the University of British Columbia, in Vancouver, Canada. He was a postdoctoral researcher (2008-2010) at the Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics at the University of California Santa Barbara and an assistant professor (2010-2019) at the Sao Carlos Institute of Physics, University of Sao Paulo. From 2016 to 2019 he was a visiting professor and group leader at the International Institute of Physics (IIP-UFRN). Since 2019 he is an assistant professor at UFRN. His research is in the field of theoretical condensed matter physics, with focus on quantum magnetism in strongly correlated systems. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
