Jose Guilherme Lembi Ferreira Alves

Graduated in Chemical Engineering at Federal University of Minas Gerais (1992), with a master's degree in Food Engineering from State University of Campinas (1996) and a doctorate in Food Engineering from State University of Campinas (2003). I did a sandwich doctorate at the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany, in the area of #8203;#8203;liquid-liquid equilibrium, where I stayed for one and a half year, between 1999 and 2001. I worked as a microbiologist at Cervejaria de Brasília, in Anápolis / GO from November 1994 to July from 1996 and as a professor of the Food Engineering untergraduate course at the Centro Universitário de Belo Horizonte (UNIBH) from August 2002 to March 2006. Approved in a public exam, I have been working at the Federal University of Lavras since April 2006 and I am currently an associate professor 4 at that university , teaching classes for the undergraduate and graduate courses in food engineering.I was coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Food Engineering at UFLA from 2019 to 2023. I have experience in the area of #8203;#8203;Food Engineering, with an emphasis on Bioprocess Engineering, working mainly in the lines of research: Development and Optimization of fermentative processes with applications in the area of #8203;#8203;Science, Technology and Food Engineering, Use of by-products from the food industry in Bioprocesses, purification of biological products by liquid-liquid extraction, Application of experimental designs (Plackett Burman and CCRD) in Food Engineering and Food Science, Development of analogues to products of animal origin.
