Luís Cláudio Paterno Silveira, Agronomist Engineer, graduated from the Escola Superior de Agricultura Luiz de Queiroz - ESALQ/USP (1991), with a Masters degree in Entomology from ESALQ (1994), a Ph.D. from UFLA (2003), and a postdoctoral fellowship in Conservation Biological Control from ESALQ (2005). He worked at IAC-Campinas until 2006, when he became a Professor of Higher Education at UFLA, Lavras, MG. He completed a second postdoctoral fellowship at Lancaster, UK (2011), focusing on the ecology of parasitoids in coffee systems. He served as the Head of the Department of Entomology at UFLA and coordinates projects in the area of conservative biological control in horticulture, coffee cultivation, and sugarcane. He supervises undergraduate, masters, doctoral, and postdoctoral students. Currently, he is a Full Professor. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
