Luciane Oliveira Crossetti

Mother of Mateus and Mariana! She holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (1998), a Master's in Sciences (Comparative Biology) from the University of São Paulo (2002), and a Ph.D. in Sciences (Comparative Biology) from the University of São Paulo (2006). She served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Limnology at the University of Pannonia (Hungary), where she also completed her postdoctoral studies and worked as Project Manager for the TEMPUS - QUALI project, European Quality Standards in Limnology Education. She has experience in the field of Ecology, with an emphasis on Aquatic Ecology, focusing on topics such as phytoplankton ecology, the structure and dynamics of aquatic communities, biotic interactions, biological invasions, environmental quality vs. impacts vs. biodiversity, and general limnology. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Ecology and the Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Ecology (CAPES 6) at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS).
