Professor at the Department of Sociology (DS) and the Graduate Programs in Sociology (PPGS) and Social Sciences (PPGCS) at the Institute of Philosophy and Human Sciences (IFCH) of the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). In this role, as well as teaching and supervising undergraduate and graduate research, he coordinates the Laboratory for the Sociology of Association Processes (LaSPA), created in 2011 from the Knowledge, Technology and the Market research group (CTeMe), which he helped found in 2003. At DS/IFCH, he was twice Coordinator of the Undergraduate Course in Social Sciences (full between 2013 and 2015, and between 2022 and 2024; and associate between 2011 and 2013 and between 2020 and 2022) and Representative of the DS on the course's Undergraduate Committee (CG) between the two administrations. He has already coordinated three sub-projects of Unicamp's Institutional Teaching Initiation Scholarship Program (PIBID/CAPES): Sociology in 2013; Sociology and Philosophy, together with Rafael R. Garcia (DF/IFCH), between August 2018 and January 2020; and Sociology and Philosophy, together with Marcio A.D. Custório (DF/IFCH) and Christian F.R.G. Vinci, between December 2022 and April 2024. In university outreach, he was responsible for Social Aid Scholarships (BAS/SAE) for teachers at the Cursinho Popular Dandara dos Palmares (Campinas) between 2017 and 2020 and participated in the preparation and execution of the IFCH PRODOCÊNCIA project (CAPES) between 2013 and 2017, which resulted in the IFCH Undergraduate Laboratory (L3), of which he is a member. Since 2015, he has been supervising the activities of undergraduate students in research support projects funded by Social Aid Grants (BAS) from Unicamp's Student Support Service (SAE). He regularly supervises postgraduate and undergraduate students in teaching support activities under the Teaching Internship Program (PED/PRPG) and the Teaching Support Program (PAD/PRG) at Unicamp. At the PPGS, he has already supervised 5 doctorates and 8 master's degrees, participates annually in the Master's and Doctorate selections and regularly offers courses. He is a member of the scientific committee of the Revista de Antropologia da UFSCar, and of the Rede de Antropologia da Ciência e da Tecnologia (ReACT). He holds a PhD in Social Sciences from Unicamp (2006) with research funded by FAPESP (processes 01/01008-8 and 02/13806-9) on electronic music and shamanism. He took part in CEBRAP's Professional Staff Training Program (2007, CAPES grant) and has done two other post-doctorates: at IFCH-Unicamp on the relationship between sound and movement in electronic dance music (2008-2010; FAPESP grant 07/58685-8); and at the Post-Graduate Program in the History of Science and Techniques and Epistemology (HCTE) at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), on the socio-anthropology of Gilbert Simondon. He has developed studies in the areas of international migration, South American ethnology and body image. He is interested in the transdisciplinary study of technically mediated processes of association, having published articles, book chapters, directed research and organized events on the subject. He is currently researching the technical mediations that sustain contemporary electronic life. In December 2017, he received the Teacher Recognition Award for Dedication to Undergraduate Teaching from the Rectorate of Unicamp. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
