Bachelor's Degree in Physics from the University of São Paulo (1979), Master's (1983) and Ph.D. (1989) in Space Sciences from the National Institute for Space Research (INPE). She is currently Senior Researcher III at the National Institute for Space Research, and a professor/collaborating researcher in the postgraduate course in Geospatial Sciences and Applications (CAGE) at the School of Engineering at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie. Coordinator of research projects funded by CNPq/PROANTAR and FAPESP, being responsible for the ionospheric studies carried out at Estação Antártica Comandante Ferraz (EACF). Brazilian representative and co-Responsible for the research activity of the Expert Group 'GNSS Research and Application for the Polar Environment (EG-GRAPE)' and of the Scientific Research Programme 'Antarctic Geospace and ATmosphere reseArch (PPG-AGATA), both at SCAR . Member of the group of delegates from Brazil to the SCAR as a full member of the Permanent Scientific Group of Physical Sciences. Brazilian representative of the scientific discipline (Scientific Discipline Representative - SDR) Aeronomy/Solar Physics of the Scientific Committee on Solar-Terrestrial Physics (SCOSTEP) since 2015. She was coordinator of investigations into Sun-Earth relations within the National Institute of Science and Technology Antarctic Research Environmental (INCT-APA) of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro from 2010 to 2017. Has experience in Astronomy and Aeronomy, with an emphasis on Solar Physics and Earth's high atmosphere, working mainly in the area of #8203;#8203;science and geospatial applications in the following topics : ionosphere radio soundings (VLF, ionosonde, GPS and rhyometer), solar physics, Sun-Earth relationships, space weather, Van Allen radiation belts. Focusing on the characterization of ionospheric irregularities from high latitudes in Antarctica to the equatorial region over the South American sector, and their impacts on telecommunications, satellite navigation and other applications that use GNSS systems. Journal reviewer, including: Annales Geophysicae, IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, Journal of Geophysical Research, Journal of Atmospheric and Solar-Terrestrial Physics, Radio Science, Physical Science International Journal, Advances in Space Research, Remote Sensing, Space Weather , Annals of Geophysics and Brazilian Journal of Geophysics.
