Mônica Santos Dahmouche

Master and PhD in Physics from the University of São Paulo (1997) with post-doctorate at BNM-SYRTE (Paris), with emphasis on Atomic Physics. She was a substitute teacher at IF-Ufscar. Currently, she is a professor at Fundação Cecierj - Fundação Centro de Ciências e Educação Superior à Distância do Estado do RJ. She has experience in the area of #8203;#8203;Atomic Physics; since 2006, she has been working in the Dissemination and Popularization of Science, with emphasis on museums and science centers and relations of the presence of women in science, public research, as well as science fairs and olympiads. In 2007, she implemented the Science Caravan, which she coordinated until 2008. She coordinated the curatorial process and implementation of the Science and Life Museum and was in charge of the space for 10 years. As a researcher, her areas of interest are: science museums and centers and informal education; science fairs in student training and scientific dissemination; scientific dissemination to raise public awareness of science; gender relations in the universe of exact sciences, from the perspective of scientific dissemination and audience research for science centers and museums. She is a member of the OMCCT research group - Observatory of Museums and Science and Technology Centers. She is a professor in the Specialization Course in Dissemination and Popularization of Science and in the academic master's degree in Dissemination of Science, Technology and Health, offered by Casa de Oswaldo Cruz. She is a specialist in Public Administration from the Ceperj Foundation. She has solid experience in public management as scientific vice president of the Cecierj Foundation for twelve years.
