He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). He earned his Bachelors degree in Physics from the University of São Paulo USP (São Carlos) in 2003, followed by a Masters degree in Basic Physics (2006) and a Ph.D. in Applied Physics (2011) from the same institution. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Cerebral Microcirculation Unit of the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), NIH, in Maryland, United States. From 2016 to 2024, he was an Assistant Professor in the Biomedical Engineering program at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC). From 2022 to 2023, he worked as a Visiting Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurobiology at the University of Pittsburgh. His research focuses on radiofrequency instrumentation for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), with an emphasis on the development of RF transmission coils, multichannel receiver coils, and preamplifiers for MRI.
