Getulio Nogueira Rocha Filho graduated in Dentistry, Federal University of Bahia (1991), MA in Clinical Dentistry, Periodontics area, the State University of Campinas (1997) and doctorate in Clinical Dentistry, Periodontics area, the State University of Campinas (1999). It also has post-doctoral degree in Periodontics from the State University of Campinas (2000), post-doctorate in Molecular Biology Applied to Periodontics, University of Washington (laboratory of Prof. Richard Darveau, Seattle-USA, 2004) and post-doctorate in Immunology, University of Hong Kong, China (2008) with CAPES bags. Former Professor of Periodontics Deputy BAHIANA of Dentistry Course (FBDC, 2000-2008), a former professor of the Senior Postgraduate Periodontics at the University of Campinas-UNICAMP, alumnus PQ 2 of the National Scientific Council and technological and CNPq-Graduate Course Evaluator and Reviewer Institutional SINAES (Basis-MEC). In 2008 settled in Canada where he was director of the Master in Periodontics at the University of Manitoba and Associate Professor of Periodontics between the years 2008-2011. In September 2011 Prof. Getulio Nogueira was hired by the University of Toronto where he served as Assistant Professor in the area of Preventive Dentistry and as acting head of department until June 2014. Nowadays he is Clinical Education Manager for DentsplySirona Brazil. His current research field applies in periodontal and peri-implant bone loss research with focus in immunology, dental implant surfaces treatment of peri-implantitis. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
