Professor Marcelo Costa Oliveira holds a PhD in Medical Sciences in the area of #8203;#8203;Medical Informatics by the University of São Paulo - USP (2006), a Master's Degree in Physics Applied to Medicine and Biology by the University of São Paulo - USP (2002) and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Universidade Paulista (1999). Dr. Marcelo Costa is Full Professor of the Computing Institute of the Federal University of Alagoas (UFAL). Dr. Marcelo Costa is currently Coordinator of the Post-Graduate Program in Computing (PPgI) of the UFAL - Institute of Computing. Acted as Head of Research and Technological Innovation of the University Hospital Prof. Alberto Antunes (HUPAA / UFAL) / EBSERH from 2014 to 2016, Coordinator of the Brazilian Telehealth Network (RUTE / RNP) from 2011 to 2014. He also worked for 2 years as a Research Assistant at the Distributed Systems Laboratory (HFCS) -Packard (HP). Dr. Marcelo Costa has experience in Computer Science, with emphasis in Medical Informatics, working mainly in the following subjects: Computer-Aided Diagnosis, Image Processing, RADIOMICS, Deep Learning, Machine Learning and Hospital Information System (PACS / RIS). Dr. Marcelo Costa is a reviewer of the international journals Computer Methods and Programs in Biomedicine, Journal of Digital Imaging, Medical Biological Engineering Computing, IET Image Processing and International Journal of Computer Assisted Radiology and Surgery.
