André Tadeu Sugawara

Graduated in Medicine from the University of São Paulo (1998), Residency in Clinical Medicine (2002), Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (2004), Specialization in Acupuncture and Pain (2004) from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo. Master's degree from the Institute of Medical Assistance for State Public Servants (2019) and PhD from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (2022). Currently a Physiatrist at the Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of the Hospital das Clínicas (HCFMUSP). Teacher of wheelchair instructors at basic and intermediate levels by the World Health Organization (WHO) with certification by the International Society of Wheelchair Professionals. Member of the Global Cooperation on Assistive Technology (GATE) and the World Rehabilitation Alliance (WRA) of the World Health Organization (WHO), Director of Teaching and Training of the Brazilian Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABMFR), Academic Holder of Chair n. 8, from the Brazilian Academy of Rehabilitation Medicine (ABMFR), Coordinator of the League of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo, Alternate Representative of the Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (IMREA HCFMSUP) on the Management Council of the Medicine Center Intensive Care Unit at the Hospital das Clínicas (HCFMUSP), and supervisor of the Medical Residency program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Hospital das Clínicas of the Faculty of Medicine from the University of São Paulo.
