Hipolito Domingo Carvajal Fals

Degree in Mechanical Engineering - from the Universidad de Oriente. Cuba (1986), master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the State University of Campinas (1995) and doctorate (1999) and post-doctorate (2008 and 2013) in Mechanical Engineering from the State University of Campinas. Post-doctorate at the National Synchrotron Light Laboratory (2009). Collaborating Professor of the Doctoral and Master's Program at the Faculty of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Universidad de Oriente. Cuba. Visiting professor at UTFPR-PG from 2019 to 2023. He served as Dean of Research and Postgraduate Studies at the University of Oriente, between 2004-2012. He was a full member of the Cuban Academy of Sciences, between 2012 and 2017, and of the University Scientific Council (2000-2019). At the international level, a broad trajectory stands out, linked to the coordination and management of scientific cooperation projects with support from countries and ICTs such as Belgium, Spain, Italy and Brazil. He has experience in the area of Mechanical Engineering, with an emphasis on Manufacturing Processes, working mainly in welding processes and metallurgy, thermal spray coatings, surface modification and processing of materials and semi-solid materials.
