Alexandra Elaine Rizzo

Graduated in Ecology from the State University of São Paulo Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1994), Master's (1998) and Ph.D. (2002) in Biological Sciences (Zoology) from the State University of São Paulo Júlio de Mesquita Filho, and post-doctorate from the State University of Campinas ( 2006) and State University of Santa Cruz (2008). Since 2009 she has been an associate professor at the State University of Rio de Janeiro-UERJ. Proscientist. Curator of the Polychaeta Collection at UERJ. She works in the postgraduate courses in Tropical Aquatic Systems at the State University of Santa Cruz and in the Prof-Bio-Professional Master's Degree in Biology Teaching. She has experience in Zoology, with an emphasis on Taxonomy of Recent Groups, working mainly on the following topics: Polychaeta, Marine Benthic Macrofauna, Marine Ecology, Taxonomy.
