Francisco Fujita de Castro Mello

Agronomist graduated at the Faculty of Agronomic Sciences - UNESP (2004), Master in Agronomy - Soils and Plant Nutrition, School of Agriculture Luiz de Queiroz - USP (2007) and PhD in Sciences, Chemical in Agriculture and the Environment, Center for Nuclear Energy in Agriculture - USP. Acted as Research Fellow in Sustainability Sciences at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University developing studies on the following topics: carbon sequestration in soils, greenhouse gas emissions, environmental valuation, industrial ecology and methodologies for environmental sustainability assessment. Passed by important positions at CNA - Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply and Ministry of Social Development. Is the currently Manager of the Center for Knowledge Management and Horizontal Cooperation of IICA - Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture, in San José, Costa Rica.
