She holds a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of São Paulo, a master's degree in Chemical Oceanography from the University of São Paulo, a PhD in Chemical Oceanography from the University of Plymouth (United Kingdom), and a postdoctoral degree from the University of São Paulo. She is an Associate Professor at the Federal University of Pará, where she is dedicated to teaching, research, and outreach in the Oceanography course (FAOC) and the Postgraduate Program in Oceanography (PPGOC), both linked to the Institute of Geosciences (IG/UFPA). She has experience in the areas of Chemical Oceanography, Limnology, Analytical and Environmental Chemistry. Her main work is on the following topics: trace organic compounds in estuaries, biogeochemistry and aquatic pollution, analytical methods for organic compounds, and impacts on Amazonian coastal ecosystems. She is also interested in active teaching/learning methodologies and contributes to undergraduate courses. She is the coordinator of the PPGOC for the 2025-2027 biennium.
