Professor at the Museum of Contemporary Art of the University of São Paulo, MAC-USP, Research Area Curatorial Processes, member of the HISTARTHE group. PhD in Visual Arts, area of concentration: Theory, Teaching and Learning, line of research, History of Art, at ECA-USP (2013); Master in History, area of concentration: Theory and Historiography, at the State University of Campinas (1999); Bachelor in History from the State University of Campinas (1996). Research topics are: Art History in Brazil and Art Historiography, working mainly in the following fields: Art History in Brazil in the XIX Century, Indigenous art and Art History in Brazil, Art Historiography. Post-doctoral internship at the Paulista Museum at USP. He was a Fellow of the Association of Museum Curators in the International Engagement Program (2017-2018), Fellow of the International Summer Group Program at The Clark Art Institute (summer 2017), received the Library Grant from the Getty Research Institute (April 2022). Member of the Brazilian Committee of Art History, CBHA. Brazilian coordinator of the project Decay without mourning: future thinking heritage practices, funded by the Riksbankens Jubileumsfond (GI21-0001), dedicated to reflect on preservation strategies for Aesthetic Manifestations of Indigenous peoples in Brazil and their relationship with art institutions.
