José E. Miranda completed his undergraduate degree in Agronomy at Londrina State University (1995), Master's degree in Animal Science (1998) and Doctors degree in Entomology (2001) at São Paulo State University. He has been a researcher at Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa) since July 2002. He has experience in Agricultural Entomology, working on the themes of cotton pests, integrated pest management, biological control, chemical control and insecticide plants. He has extensive experience in academic supervision and significant work as an articulator and technical member of South-South cooperation projects in the African continent, in projects of ABC/MRE and Embrapa.
