Bachelor in Chemistry at Federal University of São Carlos, UFSCar in 1993. Master in Organic Chemistry, 1996, area Chemistry of Natural Products and Doctorate in Sciences, year 2000, area Organic Chemistry, both by the Federal University of São Carlos, focusing on the Chemistry of Natural Products and Chemical Ecology. Masters and doctoral projects addressed the ecological aspects involved in the interaction of the Meliaceae family and the microlepidopteran Hypsipyla grandella. Post-Doctorate in Plant Biotechnology, Biosynthesis and Cell Culture by the Bioassay, Biosynthesis and Ecophysiology Center of Natural Products, NUBBE at Institute of Chemistry of the Paulista State University, UNESP (2001) in partnership with the Department of Plant Biotechnology of the University of Ribeirão Preto , UNAERP. Postdoctoral project addressed the biosynthesis of quinone methide triterpene celastrol (antitumor agent) isolated from Maytenus aquifolium (espinheira santa). Approved in public contest in 2001 for the position of Researcher II, area High Performance Liquid Chromatography and Gas Chromatography at Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation, EMBRAPA, being filled at Embrapa Food technology, RJ. Specialization on elaboration of Food Composition Database, Department of Nutrition and Human Physiology of Wageningen University, Netherlands in 2003. Experience in the field of Organic Chemistry, with emphasis on Chemistry of Natural Products (plant-insect interactions) and Chemical Ecology. He worked as Researcher A at Embrapa Food Technology from 2002 to 2010 with research activities in the areas of High Performance Liquid Chromatography, Chemistry and Food Science, Analytical Chemistry and Quality System (GLP) Implementation for accreditation by INMETRO on NBR ISO / IEC 17025: 2005. He was the Chief Technical Manger of the Laboratory of High Performance Liquid Chromatography at Embrapa Food Technology from 2002 to 2005 and Substitute Technical Manager of the same laboratory from 2005 to 2010. He currently performs his activities as a Researcher at Embrapa Sudeste Livestock, São Carlos, SP, in Chemistry of Natural Products, Animal Health and Chemical Ecology, searching for plant molecules to control tick Rhipicephalus(Boophilus) microplus, the gastrointestinal nematode Haemonchus contortus and the bacterium Staphylococcus aureus (the main etiological agent of bovine mastitis) and insect pests of the agricultural and livestock sector .
