Claudia holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences (Bachelor and Teaching) from the State University of Londrina (1986), specialization in Wood Anatomy from the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew - England (1993), master's degree (1994) and doctorate (2000) in Biological Sciences from São Paulo University and post-doctorate the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew - England (2008). She has been a Professor (Associate III level) of the Federal University of Bahia since 2003. In addition to PARFOR teaching program, she has been coordinator of the 2013-CAPES UC-Ufba project within the International Teaching Program (Programa de Licenciaturas Internacionais - PLI). Her experience in Botany mainly inbcludes anatomy of vascular plants, anatomy of woods and medicinal plants. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
