Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas (ICB) (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal) Birthplace: Brazil
I obtained my first degree in Chemistry from the State University of Campinas (2003) and a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of São Paulo (2008). Following my PhD, I worked as postdoctoral researcher at the University of São Paulo (2012) and University College London (2014). During my time in the UK, I was also a visiting researcher at the University of Manchester (2014). I focused my studies on cell therapy, DNA repair and gene silencing using siRNA complexed onto liposomes. I also have an experience of working with supramolecular chemistry and polymer or lipid-based nanoparticles and theranostic systems for diagnosis, imaging and/ or therapy of cancer. I joined the Neuro-nanobiotechnology group in November 2014 as associated researcher fellow. I?m currently working on the development and characterization of multifunctional magnetic liposomes for the treatment of stoke or glioma. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
