PhD student in the University of São Paulo (CENA / USP - Adviser Antonio V. O. Figueira), has been active in biotechnology, genetics and molecular. The current project focuses the identification and characterization of sugarcane proteins related to the cellular detoxification process, with gene expression analysis, tissue culture and transgenic analysis. Graduated in biology in 2003, developed projects for Scientific Initiation in the Center for Molecular Biology and Genetic Engineering, UNICAMP (Adviser Paulo Arruda). The master degree was developed in plant breeding at the Agronomic Institute of Campinas (Adviser Walter J. Siqueira), interdisciplinary the project with phytochemistry, genetics, molecular, cytogenetics, entomology and tissue culture, and starting the Lippia alba breeding program in Genetics Center. Paula also developed research projects focused on the coffee quality, with Embrapa Cenargen and the Consortium of Research and Development of Coffee. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
