Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Instituto de Biociências (IB)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

I graduated at Ciências Biológicas from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2004), obtained my masters degree at Ecology from Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (2008), and PhD degree at Ecology from Universidade de São Paulo (2012). During my PhD, I had the opportunity to explore different areas of evolutionary biology that connect to the parental investment theory, as, for example, population ecology, evolution of sex roles, sexual selection and mate choice. In my first postdoc, at Yale University (2012-2014), using a theoretical approach, I explored how the trade-off between reproductive and parental effort in males can affect paternity patterns, in particular its association with the extent of paternal care. In my current postdoc, at Universidade de São Paulo, I continue to explore this theoretical question, incorporating the female perspective in terms of mate choice. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
