PhD in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Applied Microbiology from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho. He is an Associate Professor IV at the Federal University of Mato Grosso, where he teaches courses in Sanitary and Environmental Engineering, the Graduate Program in Water Resources, and the Graduate Program in Biodiversity and Biotechnology (BIONORTE Network). His work focuses on bioremediation, adsorption of environmental contaminants, and wastewater treatment, incorporating artificial intelligence approaches, such as artificial neural networks, support vector machines, among others, to optimize and predict processes for the removal of emerging contaminants.
