Alice Ramos de Moraes

I'm currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Environmental Studies and Research (NEPAM/Unicamp), at LEHMA - Human Ecology Laboratory, where I've been working from a local perspective involving social and environmental aspects of the bioeconomy of Amazonian sociobiodiversity. I have a degree in Biological Sciences (2003), a master's degree (2006) and a PhD in Ecology (2019) and a specialization in Environment and Sustainable Development (2008) from UNICAMP. My research focuses on human-nature relationships and biodiversity conservation from an integrated, participatory and transdisciplinary perspective. My main topics of interest involve socioecological systems, ecosystem services and nature's contributions to people, ecosystem stewardship, and socioecological resilience. I seek to produce applicable knowledge for decision-making involving the management and conservation of natural resources and ecosystem services. I am a member of the international network CCRN - Community Conservation Research Network; I am a collaborator of the Science, Policy and Technology Program of the IAI - Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research, and of BPBES - Brazilian Platform for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services. I also collaborate with CGCommons - Commons Conservation and Management Group and LEME - Ecosystem Ecology and Management Lab, at Unicamp, and "Outros cultivos" - Art and Agroecology study group.
