He holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the University of São Paulo (2004), a Masters in Biological Sciences (Genetics Biology) from the University of São Paulo (2006) and a Ph.D. in Anthropology - The Ohio State University (2012). He holds a postdoctoral degree in the Laboratory of Human Evolutionary Studies at the University of São Paulo (2012-2018). He is currently a professor at the Institute of Philosophy and Human Sciences at the Federal University of Pará and a member of the Graduate Program in Anthropology (PPGA) and Cultural Heritage Sciences Graduate Program (PPGPatri) at the Federal University of Pará. He has experience in the areas of Archeology, Heritage and Biological Anthropology, with emphasis on bioarchaeology, Amazon archaeology, mortuary archaeology, health and lifestyle, and human biocultural evolution.
