Graduated in agronomy from the Faculty of Engineering of Ilha Solteira (FEIS/UNESP) (1991), master's degree (1998) and doctorate (2002) in Entomology from Escola Superior de Agricultura "Luiz de Queiroz" (ESALQ/USP), in addition postgraduate Lato Sensu degree in Plant Protection (Federal University of Viçosa). He is currently Adjunct Professor B and Researcher at the University of the State of Bahia (UNEB, Campus IX, Barreiras/BA). He is a professor in the Lato Sensu Postgraduate courses "Specialization in Plant Production in the Cerrado" at the State University of Bahia (Campus IX) and, "Specialization in Plant Production" at the Arnaldo Horácio Ferreira University Center (UNIFAAHF, Luís Eduardo Magalhães/BA). Since 2014 he has been a member of the Phytosanitary Program of Bahia where he conducts research projects with national and international public and private foundations and companies in the development of chemical and botanical insecticides, biological products (fungi, viruses, bacteria and parasitoids) and synthetic semiochemicals applied to the management of pests and phytopathogens in agriculture, in addition to conducting extension projects in the areas of training agricultural technicians and agronomists in the identification and management of insects and pest mites in soybean, cotton, corn, sorghum and beans.
