Dr. Éder Vendrasco holds a bachelors degree (2003) and a masters degree (2006) in Meteorology from the University of São Paulo and a Ph.D. (2015) in Meteorology from the National Institute for Space Research (INPE). Currently serves as the Academic Coordinator and a permanent faculty member of the Graduate Program in Meteorology at INPE (PGMET), where he supervises masters and doctoral students.With extensive experience in Geosciences, he focuses on Applied Meteorology, working primarily on topics such as atmospheric remote sensing, numerical modeling, and data assimilation. His expertise includes the use of weather radar data, atmospheric lightning data, and studies on the impact of aerosols on weather forecasting and surface energy availability.Additionally, he is dedicated to the development and enhancement of techniques for very short-range numerical weather prediction, integrating advanced data assimilation methods to improve the accuracy and reliability of meteorological forecasts.
