Bachelor in Biological Sciences (Universidade Federal de São Paulo - 2004) and PhD in Microbiology and Immunology (Universidade Federal de São Paulo - 2011). Worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Laboratory of Malaria and Vector, National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, USA (2013-2017). Currently is Adjunct Professor of Cell Biology, in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Parasitology of Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP). Has experience in Molecular Biology, Parasitology and Cell Biology, mainly in nucleic acid manipulation, genetic modification of microorganisms (specifically Plasmodium falciparum, Plasmodium knowlesi, Plasmodium vivax, Trypanosoma cruzi and Escherichia coli) and in vitro and ex vivo cultures of human protozoan parasites (Plasmodium falciparum, Plasmodium knowlesi, Plasmodium vivax and Trypanosoma cruzi). Also has experience with non-human primate animal models, Rhesus monkeys, Aotus and Saimiri. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
