Marcello Girotti Callas

Professor at the Center for Culture, Languages #8203;#8203;and Applied Technologies, Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia (CECULT / UFRB); PhD student of the Postgraduate Program in Performing Arts at the Federal University of Bahia, since 2018; Master in Performing Arts by the School of Communication and Arts at the University of São Paulo (ECA / USP), in 2012; graduated in Architecture and Urbanism from Mackenzie University, in 2005. Marcello has experience in the areas of scenography, costumes, lighting and stage techniques. In 2006, he concluded a short course in set design and costumes at Espaço Cenográfico/ São Paulo, an institution where he was apprentice and participated in several projects. He presented projects at the exhibition of scenography students at the Quadrennials of Prague (Czech Republic) in the 2007 and 2011. In the same festival, he directed projects for the exhibition of scenography schools, in the years 2015 and 2019. He acted as technical coordinator in the national representation (PQ-BRASIL, Countries and regions) for the Prague Quadrennial, in 2019. He was part of the set and costumes design team for the performance Anatomia do Fauno (2015), an artistic residency project at SP Escola de Teatro, produced by the Laboratory of Performative Practices of the Department of Performing Arts at the University of São Paulo. He supervised the conclusion of the degree course in Theater at the Universidade Aberta de Brasília, distance education (UAB / EAD).
