Dr. Ronaldo Silva has been a professor at the Federal University of Sergipe since 2009. He was an Adjunct Professor at Clemson University (USA) from 2017 to 2022. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics (2000) and a Master's degree in Physics (2003) from UFS, a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from IFSC - USP (2006), a Corporate Postdoctoral Fellowship (PDI) associated with Cerâmica Sergipe S/A (2007 to 2009), and a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Clemson University, South Carolina, United States (2017-18). He has experience in the field of Condensed Matter Physics and technology transfer to industry, working on the production of new luminescent, dielectric, and ferroelectric ceramic materials, and scientific instrumentation. He has published over 140 articles in specialized journals, holds 8 patents, and has presented more than 200 papers at conferences. He has supervised 10 Ph.D. theses, 10 Master's theses, and various scientific and technological initiation projects. He was the Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Physics at UFS from 2011-15 and 2019-23, a member of the Biosafety committees (2013 to 2018), COMPITEC (2010 - 2014), and COMPIBIT (2011 - 2023).
