Mauricio Galvao Pereira

Degree in Medicine from Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (2000), Medical Residency in Internal Medicine and Nephrology from Federal University of São Paulo (2004) and a PhD in Medicine (Nephrology - Kidney Transplantation) from Federal University of São Paulo (2008 ). Titles of specialist in Nephrology, by Brazilian Society of Nephrology and Intensive Care Medicine, by Brazilian Association of Intensive Care Medicine. He was Adjunct Professor of Medicine at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (2009 to 2020). Certified by National Transplant Organization (ONT) of Spain as an instructor in Bad News Communication.He is currently Professor of Medicine and Coordinator of the Medical Internship at Potiguar University (UnP) and Founding Partner of MedSkills, developing new technologies for medical education. Additionally, since 2021 he has been a Senior Consultant at the Donation and Transplantation Institute (DTI) Foundation, Barcelona, Spain. Experience in Kidney Transplantation since 2004, having worked at Hospital do Rim e Hipertensão, Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, University Hospital Onofre Lopes, Hospital do Coração de Natal and CNDT - Center for Nephrology, Dialysis and Transplantation. He also maintains activities in Clinical Nephrology and Intensive Care Medicine (since 2004). Coordinator of PROTRANSPLANTE (UnP/Instituto do Bem) since 2012 - Multidisciplinary health care program for transplanted and in waiting list for transplantation patients (Kidney, Liver, Heart, Cornea and Bone Marrow).He has experience in the field of Medicine and Education, with an emphasis on Medical Education, Kidney Transplantation, Nephrology, Organ Donation and Critical Care Medicine.
