Eduardo G. Ciapina is an Assistant Professor at São Paulo State University (UNESP), Guaratinguetá campus, engaged in undergraduate and graduate teaching and research in electrochemistry, with emphasis on electrocatalysis, fundamental electrochemical processes, and nanostructured materials. He holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of São Paulo, completed postdoctoral research at the Institute of Chemistry of São Carlos (USP), and was a visiting scholar at Argonne National Laboratory (USA). He is the author of the book Apresentações científicas nota 10! and co-author of two chapters in the Handbook of Fuel Cells (Wiley). He has published 24 peer-reviewed articles (h-index 13, Scopus) and conceived and supervised the development of open-source software for calculating the surface area of solid electrodes. He delivers lectures on scientific presentations, coordinates the outreach project Café com Ciência, and participates in science fairs and organic waste bioconversion initiatives to produce value-added products.
