I am currently the coordinator of the Task Force for the establishment of the Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty at the Secretariat of International Affairs of the Ministry of Finance. I am an Associate Professor in the Department of International Relations at UFPB, and a permanent faculty member of both the Graduate Program in Public Management and International Cooperation (PGPCI) and the Graduate Program in Political Science and International Relations (PPGCPRI) at UFPB. I hold a Ph.D. in Political Science from Unicamp, a Masters degree in International Relations from the 'San Tiago Dantas' Graduate Program (UNESP, UNICAMP, PUC-SP), and a Bachelors degree in International Relations from Unibero.From 2019 to 2022, I served as the coordinator of PGPCI. I am a member of the Scientific Committee of the Brazilian Association of International Relations (ABRI) and a researcher at the National Institute of Science and Technology for Studies on the United States (INCT-INEU). Additionally, I coordinate the Research Group on Hunger and International Relations (FomeRI) at UFPB and am an Associate Member of the Zero Hunger Institute.My academic interests lie in International Political Economy, International Politics, and Foreign Policy, with a particular focus on Brazil and the United States. I am especially interested in agricultural issues and food security in International Relations. In 2015, I won the CAPES Thesis Award in the area of Political Science and International Relations. Along with Tullo Vigevani and Filipe Mendonça, I co-authored "Poder e Comércio: a política comercial dos Estados Unidos" (Ed. Unesp, 2018), which won the award for Best Scientific Book from ANPOCS in 2019. In 2022, I received an Honorable Mention for the Lia Zanotta Machado Human Rights Award from ANPOCS for my article "The concentration camps for famine victims in Brazil and the struggle for their public memorialisation," later published in Third World Quarterly.I also co-edited the books "Food Security and International Relations: critical perspectives from the Global South" (Ed. Ibidem Verlag and Ed. UFPB, with Agostina Costantino) and "Política Externa Brasileira e o Combate à Fome: lições do passado, perspectivas para o futuro" (Ed.
